While attending NC State, I took a specialized scientific illustration course in the Biology Department, where I spent the semester studying and illustrating a diverse array of biological specimens. The final pieces shown here were all drawn from direct observation in a couple of different styles, some of which were displayed at the Museum of Life and Science in Durham, NC, during the fall of 2014.
In September of 2015, a piece from this collection was featured in an article on the highly acclaimed Scientific American’s website.
